DRDO and RRU signed MoU
Digital Desk, New Delhi. Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and National Defense University (RRU) on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen defense and internal security.
Under this, research, education, training and technical cooperation related to defense and internal security will be promoted. This MoU was signed on 22 December in South Block, New Delhi in the presence of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. Under this, both the organizations will collaborate in joint research projects, PhD and fellowship programs and specialized training and capacity building for security forces.
This initiative will strengthen India's self-reliance in defense and internal security technologies. National Defense University is an institute of national importance under the Ministry of Home Affairs. DRDO contributes cutting-edge indigenous technologies and system-level expertise to meet the requirements of the armed forces and security agencies.
Meanwhile, the Army has signed an MoU with premier technical institute Netaji Subhash University of Technology (NSUT) to cooperate in the development of software and Artificial Intelligence (AI) based solutions. The Army posted on Twitter on Monday that this agreement will strengthen indigenous innovation-based defense preparedness.
