BJP Breaks Alliance Before Amravati Municipal Corporation Elections, Withdraws Support On 6 Seats

Digital Desk, New Delhi. BJP and MLA Ravi Rana's Yuva Swabhiman Party have broken their alliance for the Amravati Municipal Corporation elections. Amravati BJP district president Nitin Dhande confirmed the incident on Sunday ahead of the municipal elections to be held on January 15.

BJP district president Nitin Dhande said that his party has withdrawn its support from the six seats allotted to Rana's organization.

He alleged, on these seats we are supporting independent candidates ideologically linked to the Bharatiya Janata Party. Yuva Swabhiman Party did not keep its promise and fielded candidates against BJP.

However, Nitin Dhande said that Rana's wife and former Lok Sabha MP Navneet Rana will continue to campaign for BJP candidates. (With inputs from news agency PTI)
