Land verification is not happening due to different names in Aadhar card and Khatauni.

Jagran correspondent, Hardoi. Farmers are worried about selling paddy at government purchasing centres. 23,787 farmers have registered to sell paddy at the government purchasing centre, but due to delay in verification, farmers are facing problems.

4,822 farmers are stuck due to difference in name in Aadhar card and Khatauni and verification of land. Due to PFMS, verification of 333 farmers is not being done. Farmers are making rounds of officials for verification. Paddy procurement has started in the district from October 1. The government has set a target of purchasing two lakh 33 thousand metric tonnes of paddy. To achieve the target, 128 purchasing centers of six purchasing agencies have been opened.

23,787 farmers have registered to sell paddy at government purchasing centres, but paddy of 10,891 farmers could not be purchased. The district administration claims that 91,118.58 metric tonnes of paddy has been purchased from 12,896 farmers.

The records of 6,069 registered farmers have been verified, while the names of 4,822 farmers have mismatch in Aadhar card and Khatauni. Land verification has not been done. Farmers are circling the tehsil to get the verification done.

District Food Marketing Officer Niharika said that if there is a difference in the name in Aadhaar card and Khatauni and there is no verification of land, tokens will be issued to the farmers. Paddy will be purchased from all the farmers.

Farmers are facing difficulty in selling paddy at the centers of Madhauganj.

The arbitrariness of the in-charges at the government paddy procurement centers opened to provide benefits of the Minimum Support Price (MSP) scheme is not showing any signs of stopping. Farmers are facing problems in selling paddy at the centers of Madhauganj. Farmer Dilip Yadav said that even after having the token, it is becoming difficult to sell paddy at the purchasing centres.

Farmer Mukesh Kumar Verma told that for weighing the paddy, diesel is being taken from the farmers to run the weeder and generator. This is causing problems.
