ACB is investigating. (Awakening)
State Bureau, Ranchi. The ACB, which is probing the case of amassing disproportionate assets against suspended IAS officer Vinay Choubey and his relatives and close ones, has interrogated automobile businessman Vinay Singh on remand for the third day.
Vinay Singh is on remand for a week. On the third day of his remand, ACB once again took information from him about the flat worth Rs 1.5 crore purchased in Doranda and the commercial property purchased in Patna during the Covid pandemic.
The ACB asked where this amount of money came from when the market was slow across the country due to the Covid pandemic. Vinay Singh once again repeated the same answer that he had made the said purchase with the savings money.
ACB suspects that the said amount is black money of suspended IAS officer Vinay Kumar Choubey and not any savings amount. Those properties were purchased with Chaubey's black money.
ACB has collected information about properties purchased in the name of Vinay Singh, his wife Snigdha Singh etc. Apart from this, information about movable and immovable properties purchased at their various locations is being collected.
All evidence related to the purchase of property is being collected. Soon ACB will file charge sheet in this case also. The ACB has registered an FIR in the case of disproportionate assets on November 24, which is under investigation.
In this FIR, apart from suspended IAS officer Vinay Kumar Choubey, his wife Swapna Sanchita, father-in-law SN Trivedi, brother-in-law Shipij Trivedi, Sirhaj Priyanka Trivedi, associate Vinay Singh and Vinay Singh's wife Snigdha Singh have been named accused.
