Let us tell you that CUET-UG has been made mandatory for admission to undergraduate courses in degree colleges of Jammu and Kashmir. Non-CUET-UG admissions are given if seats remain vacant. There are a total of 143 degree colleges in Jammu and Kashmir. In these, apart from Jammu and Srinagar cities, the need of CUET-UG is felt for admission in colleges at district headquarters.

In remote and rural areas, admission in colleges is available only on non-CUET-UG basis.
