Dialogue Associate, Katra. Taking an important step towards the establishment of the proposed International Devi Museum, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has launched an online portal.
This decision was taken in the 76th meeting of the Board, which was presided over by Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir and Chairman of the Board, Manoj Sinha. The new portal https:/smvdsbimog/#/museum will ensure involvement of experts in conceptualizing, designing and preparing the content of the museum.
The Board has invited research based suggestions and proposals from scholars, historians, architects, museologists, spiritual seekers and other field experts. The proposed museum will be developed as an international level knowledge and experience centre, which will present the spiritual, cultural and historical dimensions of divine feminine power and Shakti tradition through technologies.
Tourists will get an informative experience
It will include digital installations, interactive galleries, light-and-sound shows and thematic exhibitions. This museum will document the history of Mata Vaishno Devi Temple, the evolution of the Yatra, the philosophy of Shakti worship and the broader spiritual traditions associated with Sanatan Dharma, thereby providing a devotional as well as informative experience to the devotees and tourists.
Sachin Kumar Vaishya, Chief Executive Officer of the Board, said that this portal provides a collaborative platform for experts and institutions, where they can share research, archival references and innovative ideas for the museum. The project will balance authenticity, scholarly depth and modern presentation.
