East Champaran Gets National Honor For Its Excellent Performance In Elections, President Honors DM

Jagran correspondent, Motihari (East Champaran). East Champaran election award: East Champaran district has been declared the best election district in the country by the Election Commission of India for its excellent performance in the Bihar Assembly elections. President Draupadi Murmu presented this honor to District Magistrate Saurabh Jorwal in a function organized in New Delhi on the occasion of National Voters' Day.

After receiving the honour, the District Magistrate said that this achievement is the result of the collective efforts of all the officials, employees, polling personnel, voters and general public of the district. He expressed gratitude for everyone's contribution.

Many technological innovations were made in East Champaran to make the election process more seamless, transparent and accessible. Automated GPS based CAPF deployment system was developed in the district, reducing the deployment process of security forces from several days to just a few minutes.

Better allocation of forces to all polling stations was done through GPS analysis. Along with this, digital tools like QR code navigation, interactive booth mapping, pre-printed register and real-time dashboard were used.

Due to these innovations the election process was conducted successfully without any disruption. A significant increase was also recorded in the voting percentage, which increased from 60.28 percent in the year 2020 to 71.55 percent in the year 2025.

East Champaran has achieved this glorious achievement only due to the collective efforts of the district administration and new technological initiatives. This honor is a matter of pride for the entire district.

Officers got respect even at state level

On the occasion of National Voters' Day, four officers of the district were honored with the Best Election Practice Award in a state level function organized at the convention building in Patna.

Deputy Development Commissioner Dr. Pradeep Kumar and Sub-Divisional Officer Chakia Shivani Shubham were awarded the Best ERO, Block Development Officer Sangrampur Anurag Aditya was awarded the Best AERO and Polling Station Level Officer Mukesh Kumar (Bareva, Dhaka) was awarded the Best BLO Award.

All the honored officers were honored with citation and prize money by Chief Secretary, Government of Bihar, Pratyaya Amrit.
