Railways announced to run Holi special trains.
Jagran correspondent, Dhanbad. Before Holi, trains across the country are full. Returning home from big cities has become difficult. Due to no room in trains of Mumbai, Surat and Delhi, tickets are not being booked. For the convenience of passengers, Railways has announced to run 1410 trip Holi special trains.
There are preparations to increase the number to 1500 by increasing additional trains and trips. Of these, East Central Railway-ECR has announced to run 285 trips of special trains. The date of running of four pairs of special trains has also been released. But they do not include even a single train passing through the border of Dhanbad Railway Division. Due to this there is disappointment among the passengers.

Eastern Railway has announced to run 100 trip special trains for different cities of the country during Holi. 94 trips have been scheduled on different routes including Howrah-Anand Vihar, Malda Town-Udhna, Asansol-Gorakhpur, Kolkata-Raxaul. Even among these, not a single special train via Dhanbad has got a place. Howrah-Anand Vihar special will run via Jhajha, Kiul and Gaya.
Dhanbad trains snatched one by one
Many special trains were run via Dhanbad. First Dhanbad-Jammu was snatched away. Then one by one the wheels of trains like Dhanbad-Yesvantpur, Dhanbad-Udhna, Dhanbad-Coimbatore via Gomo and Dhanbad-Coimbatore via Bokaro, Dhanbad-Lokmanya Tilak and Dhanbad-Gorakhpur stopped.
Under the cover of fog, the trips of Dhanbad-Delhi and Dhanbad-Chandigarh special were cancelled. Raxaul-Tirupati, Darbhanga-Secunderabad, Darbhanga-Raxaul, Barauni-Pottanur special passing through Dhanbad as well as all three trains of Patna-Secunderabad (Charlapalli) passing through Goma were stopped.
Dhanbad expected to get many trains including Jaynagar, Gorakhpur
Dhanbad passengers will also be able to avail the benefits of trains running from different cities. Last year, Holi special trains were run via Dhanbad to Jaynagar, Katihar, Gorakhpur and Purnia Court and other places. This time too, there is hope of getting special trains running from Ranchi. Apart from this, Holi special trains run by East Coast Railway, South East Central Railway and other zonal railways can be run via Dhanbad and Gomo.
