The thief took away the bike of a corporation employee.
Jagran correspondent, East Delhi. Deputy Commissioner of Shahdara North Zone of Delhi Municipal Corporation inspected Chauhan Bangar ward on Wednesday. Employees of many departments of the corporation including Dames were busy in preparations for this inspection. Meanwhile, a thief stole an employee's bike from outside the corporation office.
The incident was captured in CCTV camera. The thief has tied a handkerchief on his face. Victim Shekhar Upreti alleges that he called the phone number 112. But instead of Delhi Police, Uttar Pradesh Police picked up the call. This happened many times. Frustrated, he lodged an online e-FIR.
Victim Shekhar Upreti lives with his family in Rohtas Nagar. He is posted in Chauhan Bangar ward of the corporation. On Wednesday, there was an inspection by the Corporation Deputy Commissioner in the ward. In Chauhan Bangar ward, the corporation has taken an office on rent in street number-1 of Chauhan Bangar.
In the complaint given to the police, the victim said that he reached the corporation office at 6:43 am on Wednesday, marked his attendance and went to Jafrabad Road to prepare for inspection. When he reached the office in the afternoon, he was shocked. The bike was missing. After looking at the footage of CCTV cameras, it was found that at around 7.15 in the morning, the thief stole his bike with fake keys.
