Exhibition On 'Moving Steps Of Election' Will Be Organized In National Voters Day Celebration, Lucknow On 25th January.

State Bureau, Lucknow. National Voters' Day celebration will be organized on January 25 at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan. On this occasion, an exhibition and stalls based on the theme ‘Journey of Elections’ will be set up under ‘Virchanan Ke Badte Kadam’.

The Culture Department will select groups from different areas of the state for cultural presentations on the theme of democracy. A stand showing the picture of any famous monument of the state and its history will be installed at the selfie point, along with this a replica of the Legislative Assembly building will also be displayed in a grand form.

Additional Chief Electoral Officer Akhand Pratap Singh reviewed the preparations for celebrating the state level function in a dignified and grand manner on Friday. He directed that the National Voter's Day oath should be administered in all government offices and educational institutions of the state on January 25 at 11 am or in case of a holiday, on January 23 or 24. It has been asked to provide photos and videos of the oath ceremony on email (ceoupsection6@gmail.com).

Additional Chief Electoral Officer said that like previous years, this year too Voters' Day will be celebrated with the message of democratic values, voter awareness and public participation. He instructed the officers of the concerned departments to ensure timely discharge of their responsibilities and there should be no laxity at any level.

Various activities will be organized at the state level with the aim of motivating voters. Along with the spirit of democracy, the cultural reflection of the state should also be visible in the programs.

To give a comprehensive look to the event, arrangements for posters-banners and live telecast on digital platforms will also be made. Officials from various departments including culture, information, women welfare, higher education, urban development, transport, railways, banking institutions were present in the meeting.
