Which farmers will get direct benefits
State Bureau, Patna. Bihar AgriStack: Bihar government is rapidly implementing the AgriStack project in the interest of farmers. In this series, a special campaign for farmer registration will be run in mission mode in the entire state from 2 to 6 February. Its objective is to connect more and more farmers with the Digital Farmer Registry and to give them the benefits of government schemes in a transparent manner.
Big decision in Agristack review meeting
In the high-level review meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit, the progress made so far under Agristack was reviewed in detail. Through video conferencing, all the District Magistrates were instructed to speed up the farmer registration work so that they can enter the second phase of Agristack as soon as possible.
How to do farmer registration
For farmer registration, farmers can register by visiting their nearest Common Service Center (CSC) or Vasudha Center. Farmer registry of farmers will be prepared on the basis of necessary documents and farmer ID will be provided to them. The entire process has been kept simple and easy.
Registration is completely free
The Chief Secretary clarified that no fee will be charged for farmer registration. The Rs 15 service charge earlier charged at CSC and Vasudha centers has been abolished. Now this expense will be borne by the concerned department, due to which farmers will get direct benefits.
Which farmers will get direct benefits
Farmers who are beneficiaries of PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana will get the maximum benefit of this campaign. After registration, farmers will be able to get the benefits of central and state government schemes in a direct, timely and transparent manner. It will also be easy to join new schemes in future.
Target for districts, reward for better performance
The government has directed that every district should complete the registration of at least 50 percent of the beneficiary farmers of PM-Kisan within the stipulated time. Districts achieving this target will be given an incentive amount of Rs 1.5 lakh. At the same time, the districts whose target is 35 percent will get Rs 50 thousand on completion.
Transparency in schemes through farmer ID
Agriculture Department Principal Secretary Narmadeshwar Lal said that farmer ID will be prepared for every ryot farmer. This will make it easier for farmers to avail the benefits of the schemes and there will be no need to submit documents again and again.
Bihar model appreciated at national level
The farmer registration campaign of Bihar government was appreciated in the workshop of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare held in New Delhi on 28 January. It was presented as a model for other states.
Better performing districts honored
The Chief Secretary especially praised the districts of Vaishali, Sheohar, Begusarai, Buxar, Sheikhpura and Katihar for their better work. Senior officials of the concerned departments were also present in the meeting.
