Jagran correspondent, Sahibabad. Due to fog, flights departing from Hindon Airport to different cities are being affected. Due to fog on Monday morning, flights coming from Mumbai and taking off from Hindon Airport were cancelled.
Indigo had already informed the passengers about this. Apart from this, the Air India Express flight from Mumbai also reached here late by about two hours, but due to low visibility the flight was not allowed to land. Later it was diverted to Delhi and sent to IGI Airport.
This flight reached Hindon Airport at around 4 o'clock whereas its departure time is 2:15 in the afternoon. The plane remained in the air for about a quarter of an hour before being diverted. After this, the flight from Hindon Airport to Mumbai also had to be cancelled.
Due to this, about 150 passengers had to face problems. Some passengers also expressed their displeasure over this. Apart from this, the flight to Kolkata also took off late by about three hours.
Director of Hindon Airport Authority, Dr. Chilka Mahesh said that prior information about the canceled flight was given to the passengers. Air India Express flight was diverted. For this reason it was canceled from Hindon Airport.
