Jagran correspondent, Patna. BJP National President cum Bankipur MLA Nitin Naveen inspected Mandiri and Bakarganj drains on Tuesday. He took stock of the pace of the work going on in the final phase in his assembly constituency, the status of the drainage system and also gave necessary guidelines related to the scheme to the officials.

Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Development Housing Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, BUDCO MD Animesh Parashar, Municipal Commissioner Yashpal Meena etc. were present. He said that the construction of these two drains will benefit a large population after a long struggle. Patna's traffic system will also be strengthened.

He talked about ensuring quality and transparency in drain cleaning works and regularly reviewing the work progress. Also interacted with local residents. Renovation work of Mandiri drain is being done by Patna Smart City Limited.

A 1,289 meter long road will be built on Mandiri drain and Rs 86.98 crore is being spent for this. Along with renovating the drain, the road covering it is being built by Patna Smart City Limited.

This drain is connected to SP Verma Road, Mithapur, Gardanibagh, Babubazar, Dhobighat, Ecopark, Chhajjubagh, MLA Palat, Irrigation Bhawan. It will connect Nehru Path with Atal Path. At the same time, the Bakarganj drain, to be built at a cost of Rs 26.98 crore, will improve the traffic system in Lalji Tola, Railway Colony, Peermuhani Machli Gali, Salimpur Ahra, Rajendra Path, Daldali Road, Bhanwar Pokhar, Ashok Rajpath, Bari Path, Ram Ghulam Chowk of Gandhi Maidan area etc.

BJP State President Sanjay Saraogi, Councilor Vinay Kumar Pappu, Dr. Ashish Sinha, Sanjeev Anand, Rahul Yadav etc. were present on the occasion.
