JAC 11th and 12th exam date changed

Jagran correspondent, Ranchi. In view of the proposed municipal elections in the state, Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has changed the dates of examinations of many classes to be held in February this month.

Due to the election process, the examinations of classes 11th, 8th and 9th including Intermediate have been rescheduled. JACK has issued separate notifications in this regard and informed all the schools, colleges and candidates.

According to the program released by the Election Commission, voting for municipal elections will be held on 23 February, while counting of votes will be done on 27 February. In this sequence, the examination of Hindi, a subject of Jack Intermediate examination, was scheduled on 23rd February, which will now be held on 24th February. This examination will be held in the second shift from 2 pm to 5.15 pm.

At the same time, the 11th class examination will now be conducted on 25, 26 and 28 February. The examinations of Science and Commerce stream will be conducted in the morning shift, while the examinations of Arts stream will be conducted in the second shift.

Class VIII exams will now be conducted in two shifts on March 2, while Class IX exams have been scheduled for March 6 and 7. Jack has clarified that the matriculation examination is ending on 17th February, hence the municipal elections will not have any impact on the matriculation candidates and no change has been made in the matriculation examination schedule.

It is known that the candidates and parents had earlier raised many questions regarding the conduct of the examination during the elections. Students said that the exams could be affected due to the busyness of school buildings, teachers and administrative resources during voting and counting. In such a situation, the amendment made by JAC in the exam dates is considered a relief for the students.
