Driver Changing Wheel Of Tempo On Roadside In Delhi Crushed By Speeding Car, Dies

One person died in a road accident on the Outer Ring Road in the Northern District.

Jagran correspondent, New Delhi. On Tuesday morning, on the Outer Ring Road of the Northern District, the driver of a tempo standing on the roadside, changing the wheel, was crushed by a speeding car, due to which he died on the spot. The deceased has been identified as Vijay of Nangloi.

The police have registered a case while keeping his body safe in the hospital mortuary for post-mortem. Police found the car parked at the spot, after which the accused was arrested. The accused has been identified as Deepak Grover. The police are interrogating the accused and investigating the matter.

According to a senior police officer, at around 8.17 am on Tuesday, Wazirabad police station received information about a road accident in front of Dhirpur ITI on Outer Ring Road. As soon as the information was received, the police team reached the spot, where the youth was lying injured. His head was crushed.

The police took him to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The deceased was later identified as Vijay of Nangloi. During investigation, police came to know that Vijay worked as a driver in a private transport company in Delhi. Deceased Vijay was going to Seelampur loaded with junk.

Near Dhirpur ITI, Vijay noticed that the rear tire of his tempo was punctured, after which he called his co-worker Shubham for help. When Shubham reached the spot, he saw that the tempo was standing near the divider of the Outer Ring Road.

Vijay was jacking the rear of the vehicle to change the tyre, when a Honda Brio car coming from behind hit him. His head was crushed in the collision due to which he died on the spot. After the accident, the car was found parked at the spot. Police have registered the case and arrested the driver.
