Digital Desk, New Delhi. Air traffic was badly affected due to dense fog in Delhi. Civil Aviation Ministry officials reached the Operations Control Center of Delhi Airport today to take stock of the situation. Due to fog, many flights were canceled and hundreds of flights were delayed.

At least 100 flights were canceled at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport, while more than 300 flights were delayed. This information was given by flight tracking website FlightRadar24. According to sources, ministry officials reached the spot and reviewed the situation and took information about real-time operations.

Meanwhile, reports came in that the CAT III system was not working. This system helps the aircraft in landing even in very low visibility. However, Delhi Airport Administration termed these reports as wrong. Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) said that the CAT III system is completely fine and flights were operated under this system.

Let us tell you, at 6 am the Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 456, which is the second worst level of this season. AQI is considered severe when it is between 401 and 500. According to the AQI scale, 0-50 is considered good, 51-100 satisfactory, 101-200 moderate, 201-300 poor, 301-400 very poor and 401-500 severe.

Later in the day, the Union Environment Minister reviewed the measures to prevent pollution in Delhi-NCR. In this episode, a meeting was held on the action plan of Ghaziabad and Noida. This meeting is part of a series of upcoming summits for Delhi-NCR.
