The BJP councilor, who warned the Nigerian citizen teaching football in Lovely Park of Mayur Vihar Phase-I to learn Hindi language within a month, has come under criticism on social media. The matter escalated to such an extent that state BJP leaders had to intervene.

The councilor who allegedly had an altercation with a foreign national has been reprimanded from the state. After which on Tuesday, Patparganj councilor Renu Choudhary apologized by uploading two different videos on Instagram. Along with this, she has deleted that video in which she was seen arguing. That video had been viewed by 1.30 million people on Instagram by Tuesday afternoon.

BJP state president Virendra Sachdeva lives in Mayur Vihar Phase-I. The corporation has a lovely park in this Phase-I. Where a Nigerian citizen has been teaching football four days a week to children living in different societies for the last few years by charging a fee of Rs 2500 every month.

The alleged altercation of the BJP councilor has been discussed on social media and in Mayur Vihar for the last four days. The matter gained momentum on Monday. The councilor himself had uploaded the video of the altercation on his Instagram.

This video reached the state president of BJP on Monday night. Sources say that the state president had called the councilor to the office. Expressed displeasure over the way the councilor was talking to the foreign national in the video. Reprimanded. After which the councilor apologized.

Children playing football said that in the evening the park becomes dark.

Dainik Jagran team went to Lovely Park on Tuesday evening. Found some children here who learn football. The children told that a message from the Nigeria coach had come on their relative's number that he had gone to Nigeria to celebrate Christmas. Will return on January 4.

The children claimed that Nigerian citizens speak Hindi, but not properly. He also understands Hindi language. The park where children learn football becomes dark in the evening. There are two small lights installed at the park gate, they are also out of order. The children told the corporation officials and councilor that they are not providing the facilities that should be provided. Who is responsible for the darkness in the park?

Sports has no language: State President

State President Virendra Sachdeva has given clarification on the issue of forced learning of Hindi language. He has said that sports has no language. He himself is associated with sports organizations. He knows how to promote the game.

Sports is a subject in which everyone is involved. The councilor's style was not good. The councilor has expressed regret for his behaviour. Local leaders have been asked to visit that park and see what kind of facilities can be provided there. Talk to the coach and also the children taking coaching there.

The councilor uploaded the apology video earlier on Tuesday morning. A few hours later, he uploaded his second video of apology. Along with this, the video of the altercation was deleted after the second apology.

Sources claim that after first apologizing, the councilor did not delete the video of the altercation. State BJP leaders were angry with this. After this the councilor had to apologize twice. In his clarification, the councilor said that the park is for children's sports activities. If anyone is hurt by the behavior seen in her video, she apologizes.
