Policemen reached the banks of Ganga
Samvadsutra, Jagran, Kachla. Demarcation of forest department land has been started in Ganga's Katri area in Chandanpur village. On Friday evening, on the orders of DM, police-administrative officers reached the spot and started demarcation of the land. It is being told that during this period some land was also captured.
During this time, police force was also present, due to which no one had the courage to move forward. The demarcation of land will continue for two-four days. Saplings will be planted here later. More than 200 bighas of Forest Department land is lying in Katri of village Chandanpur area of Kotwali area and it is occupied by many nearby farmers.
Just four days ago, the forest department team had tried to free it from encroachment, but the mistake was that the forest department team reached the spot at night and tried to free the land from encroachment. Due to this, the villagers attacked the team, in which many employees were injured and two vehicles of the forest department were damaged.
He narrowly escaped this attack and was standing there by chance. An FIR has been lodged against unknown persons in this regard. Ujhani Kotwali police is investigating it. Here, on receiving information about the matter, DM Avnish Kumar Rai has ordered to demarcate the forest department land.
On this, Tehsildar Deepak Kumar, Ujhani Kotwali Crime Inspector Guddu Yadav and the Forest Department team reached the spot along with the police force on Friday evening. Some villagers were found present there but seeing the police force, no one had the courage to move forward and then demarcation of the land was started there. The Revenue Department team demarcated the land till late evening.
During this period some land was also captured. It is being told that the Forest Department team had reached the spot with two tractors and the crops were plowed to free the land from encroachment. Forest Department officials have said that the entire land will be demarcated in just two-four days. After that a tree plantation campaign will be conducted here. A green area will be created by planting trees on the entire land.
