Digital Desk, New Delhi. Bharatiya Janata Party has surprised everyone and announced the name of its new National Working President. BJP has given a big responsibility to Bihar government minister Nitin Nabin and he will now replace JP Nadda.

Nitin Nabin is a well-known name in Bihar politics. He is a senior leader of BJP and is currently serving as the Road Construction Minister in the Government of Bihar. Nitin Nabin, who has been elected MLA from Bankipur Assembly constituency four times, has carried forward his father's political legacy and has played an important role at both the organizational and government levels.

Nitin Nabin's political journey

Nitin Nabin was born on 23 May 1980 in Patna, Bihar. His father Nabin Kishore Prasad Sinha was a senior BJP leader and MLA from Bankipur. His mother's name is Meera Sinha. Nitin Nabin completed his 12th standard from CSKM Public School, Delhi.

After the death of his father, Nitin Nabin became MLA for the first time in the by-election held from Patna West (now Bankipur) in the year 2006. After this, he strengthened his hold on Bankipur seat by winning consecutive elections in 2010, 2015 and 2020.

In the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, he once again won from Bankipur. In this election, he got 98,299 votes and defeated Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) candidate Rekha Kumari by 51,936 votes.

Ministerial posts and organizational responsibilities

Nitin Nabin was made cabinet minister in the Nitish Kumar-Samrat Chaudhary government formed after the 2025 assembly elections. He is currently the Road Construction Minister of Bihar. Even before this, he had been the minister of the same department during 2021-2022.

Between 2024-2025, he also served as the Minister of Urban Development and Housing and Law and Justice. While in these departments, he focused on urban development and administrative reforms.

Nitin Nabin has also played an important role in the party organization. He has been the National General Secretary and Bihar State President of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM). Apart from this, he was in-charge of Sikkim and co-in-charge of Chhattisgarh for BJP, where he is considered to have played a role in the party's electoral success.

Work, initiative and recognition

Nitin Nabin is known for improving road infrastructure and pushing urban housing schemes. His efforts gave impetus to many schemes related to road construction in Bihar. He also took initiative in the social field.

He was in the news for taking steps like increasing the pension of journalists, as well as increasing the incentives given to Asha and Mamta workers. His journey from youth politics to cabinet minister makes him one of the influential leaders of Bihar BJP.
