Jagran correspondent, Ghaziabad. Uttar Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority is serious about better arrangements in times of disaster in 26 districts of the state including Ghaziabad. Keeping this in mind, the chief officers of these districts have been given two-day special training in Prayagraj regarding disaster management.
Ghaziabad's Additional District Magistrate Finance and Revenue Saurabh Bhatt, Chief Fire Officer Rahul and District Malaria Officer Gyanendra Mishra participated in this training as the representative of the CMO. The effect of this training will be seen in the coming days.
In this training, experts explained in detail about multidimensional risks like crowd management, prevention of drowning, cold wave and fire accidents in symposiums and table-top exercises.
It was pointed out that the departmental preparedness approach cannot be limited to post-incident response only, but must focus on risk-assessment, forecast-based planning, capacity-building and trained, time-bound response systems. Transforming the preparedness of various departments into unified command, effective communication and coordinated action will ensure the safety, convenience and confidence of the people. Special arrangements will be made in these districts regarding disaster
Saharanpur, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Agra, Mathura, Hathras, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Lucknow, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Ayodhya, Barabanki, Kanpurnagar, Gorakhpur, Shravasti, Balrampur, Gonda, Prayagraj, Chitrakoot, Banda, Mahoba, Varanasi, Mirzapur.
Took part in special training to jointly conduct rescue operations. Now a team of the health department will be formed. This team will immediately reach and carry out rescue work in case of any disaster occurring anywhere in the district. The health department will be responsible for admitting the injured to nearby hospitals. An ambulance will have to be sent to the spot within ten minutes.
