Indian Railways provides relief to passengers on Holi.
Samvad Sutra, Navgachia (Bhagalpur). Indian Railways: In view of the increasing crowd of passengers on the occasion of Holi festival, special arrangements have been made by Indian Railways. With the aim of providing smooth, safe and convenient travel to the passengers, a total of 285 Holi special trains (trips) will be operated through East Central Railway. The operation of these trains is expected to provide considerable relief to passengers traveling long distances during the festival.
In this sequence, train number 01665/01666 Ranikamalapati–Agartala–Ranikmalapati Holi special train will be operated. This train will run via DDU, Danapur, Patliputra, Hajipur, Barauni, Katihar and Navgachia. Train No. 01665 Ranikamalapati – Agartala Special will depart from Ranikamalapati at 15.20 hrs every Thursday from March 5. This train will reach Patliputra at 10.10 am the next day and will reach Agartala at 18.55 pm on the third day.
In return, Train No. 01666 Agartala – Ranikamalapati Special will depart from Agartala at 17.20 hrs on every Sunday from 8th March 2026. This train will reach Patliputra at 22.25 hrs on the second day and Ranikamlapati at 16.35 hrs on the third day.
Apart from this, train number 09525/09526 Hapa–Naharlagun–Hapa Holi special train will also be operated. This train will run via Varanasi, Ballia, Chhapra, Hajipur, Barauni, Navgachia and Katihar. Train No. 09525 Hapa – Naharlagun special will depart from Hapa at 00.40 hrs every Wednesday from March 4 and reach Naharlagun at 16.00 hrs on the third day. En route, it will stop at Hajipur at 17.00 hrs on the second day.
In return, Train No. 09526 Naharlagun – Hapa special will leave Naharlagun at 09.40 hrs every Saturday from March 7 and reach Hapa at 00.30 hrs on the fourth day. During this time it will reach Hajipur at 07.15 on the second day.
Passengers will get relief
In view of Holi festival, operation of Holi special trains by Railways will prove to be a big relief for the passengers. Additional trains will make long distance travel easier and reduce congestion. Passengers will get convenience in transportation at major stations of the route including Navgachia. This will increase the festive cheer along with saving time and improve the travel experience.
