Jagran correspondent, Darbhanga. Bihar State Sports Authority has announced Sports Scholarship Scheme 2026. In which national and international players of Bihar will benefit. For this, you will have to apply on the portal from January 1 to 15.

Eligible players will be selected on the basis of applications received on the portal. Selected players will get scholarship ranging from Rs 5 to 20 lakh.

About 36 national and international players from Darbhanga district can benefit from this. Those who perform well in sports competitions can apply for this scholarship.

Bihar State Sports Authority DG Ravindra Shankaran has sent a letter related to Saksham and Udaan Scholarship Scheme to the district. Udaan Scholarship can include players who have won medals or participated in international competitions.

Players who have especially performed in the Asian Games, Commonwealth and Olympics can apply on this portal. Selected players will be given scholarship up to Rs 20 lakh annually.

Darbhanga's international para badminton player Rajesh Kumar will participate. Rajesh Kumar has performed well in Egypt, Indonesia, Thailand and Uganda. He had won the bronze medal in the competition held in Egypt.

Ruby Kumari and Alok Kumar had participated in the National Athletics Competition in Ranchi. Monu Kumar and Aditya Kumar had participated in the National Athletics Sports Competition held in Orissa.

Muskaan Kumari had participated in the boxing competition organized in Delhi. He was also selected for the national game. In Kabaddi, Aarushi Kumari and Prapati Kumari went to Bengaluru. Shambhavi Jha had won the bronze medal in Kabaddi in the Khelo India University Games.

Vivek and Ram Vikesh had participated in Khelo India competition in Rajasthan. Sintu had gone to Assam to play karate in Khelo India. Manjeet Kumar and Humas had participated in the National Karate held in Madhya Pradesh.

Priyanshu and Yuvraj Adarsh ​​had gone to Pune. Jiya Raj participated in the National Karate held in Uttarakhand, Shruti Singh Delhi. All these players are waiting for the portal of sports scholarship competition to open on January 1.

There are three dozen players in the district who are eligible to apply. This scheme has been started by the Bihar government to encourage the players. So that, by performing in national and international games, it can bring glory to the state and the country. Eligible players will apply from January 1 to 15. After this the portal will be closed. The selection committee formed at the government level will select the eligible players for scholarship.
