Senior Commercial Railway Manager Utchi Singhal said that the new rake will have 20 LHB coaches.

Jagran correspondent, Jammu. Giving priority to the safety and convenience of passengers, Jammu Railway Division has taken another important initiative.

Railway Administration has decided to replace ICF coaches with state-of-the-art LHB (Linke Hofmann Busch) coaches in Train No. 19224/19223 Sabarmati BG – Jammu Tawi Express. This arrangement will be effective from January 1 next year. After the transformation, passengers will get a safer, more comfortable and modern travel experience than ever before.

According to railway officials, LHB coaches are equipped with anti-telescopic design and center buffer coupler (CBC), which reduces the chances of coaches colliding with each other in the event of an accident and ensures safety of life and property. Apart from this, these coaches have the facility of hydraulic suspension system, better ventilation and low noise, which makes long distance travel easier.

LHB coaches are designed for higher speed, which will also improve the operational efficiency and punctuality of trains. With this, passengers will get the benefit of fast, safe and convenient travel. In this regard, Senior Commercial Railway Manager of Jammu Railway Division, Utpi Singhal said that this step is an important effort towards modernization of Railways.

He said that the new rake will include 20 LHB coaches and this train will be operated in the new format from January 1. In the coming days, modern coaches will be installed in some more trains running from Jammu, work on which is going on. He has appealed to the passengers to get updated information from the official website of Railways or NTES app before travelling.
