Government Seeks Detailed Report On Resignation Of Ayodhya GST Deputy Commissioner Prashant Kumar Singh

State Bureau, Lucknow. After the information about the resignation of Deputy Commissioner of State Tax Department, Prashant Kumar Singh, posted in Ayodhya, the government has called for a complete report about him from State Tax Commissioner Nitin Bansal.

Based on the report, appropriate action will be taken in the matter at the government level. The Deputy Commissioner has sent his resignation directly to the Governor. In which it is written that he has taken this step in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The reason for resignation is said to be his support for the UGC Bill as well as being hurt by the comments made by Shankaracharya Swami Avamukteshwarananda on the Chief Minister. State Tax Department Principal Secretary Kamini Chauhan Ratan has said that the information about the resignation is in her notice.

A detailed report in this matter has been sought from the State Tax Commissioner. Appropriate departmental action will be taken after the report comes.

Regarding the investigation against Prashant Singh for getting a job on the basis of wrong disability certificate, the Principal Secretary said that the situation in this regard can be clarified only after the Commissioner's report comes. According to departmental sources, the complaint has been found false in the investigation.
