Armed robbery at jewelery shop in Nelamangala, Bengaluru.
Digital Desk, New Delhi. A sensational robbery incident has come to light in Nelamangala area of Bengaluru. Armed criminals attacked Ram Dev Jewelery Shop located in Dasanpura near the National Highway in the evening.
How the miscreants carried out the incident
The robbery took place around 5:30 pm, when three unidentified persons reached the shop on a two-wheeler. The footage captured in CCTV cameras shows that they entered the shop impersonating customers.
He asked the staff to show him some earring designs. When the staff told that the sought designs were not available, the criminals suddenly took out their pistols.
They threatened the people present in the shop at gunpoint, scratched their faces and gagged them to prevent making noise. During this, he also violently attacked the employees.
The scoundrel absconded after the robbery
The miscreants looted more than 30 grams of gold jewelery and around Rs 50,000 in cash from the shop. After committing the crime, they quickly fled from the spot. Shop owner Manik Ram's two sons, Gautam and Vishnu, were managing the shop at that time.
Manik Ram's wife Shobha, who was in another shop nearby, came running after hearing the screams of the children, but by then the robbers had fled. This incident has caused deep shock to the family.
As soon as information about the incident was received, the team of Madanayakanahalli police station reached the spot and started investigation. Bengaluru North-West Division Deputy Commissioner of Police D.L. Nagesh himself visited the spot and took stock of the progress of the investigation. Police have registered a case of robbery and are busy searching for the accused.
Efforts have been intensified to identify the criminals on the basis of CCTV footage and other clues. Officials say that the criminals will be arrested soon.
