Jagran correspondent, Hajipur. On the occasion of Mahashivratri, various Shiva temples in Vaishali district are crowded with devotees since early Sunday morning. Devotees are offering prayers in the temple. Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai offered prayers at Mahadev Baba Pataleshwar Nath Temple in Hajipur Nagar.

Amidst the Vedic chanting of the Chief Acharya, the aarti was performed with reverence for Baba and then he left on the bullock cart. In the historic Shiva procession, he is moving ahead amidst the crowd of lakhs of people in the city, greeting everyone.

7th grade Baba's carriage driver

While being a Union Minister, he has become Baba's carriage driver for the seventh time. However, he has been performing this role for about 32 years. Hundreds of tableaux, bands, instruments, elephants, horses, camels, ghosts and betals are included in the Shiva procession.

During the Shobha Yatra, flowers were showered at various places and welcomed by the local people. The Shiv procession will leave from Pataleshwar Nath Temple and reach Akshayvat Rai Stadium in the evening via Mahavir Chowk, Thana Chowk, Gudri Bazaar, Rajendra Chowk Cinema Road, Yadav Chowk Dak Bungalow Road.

Where the band, baja and tableaux will be rewarded by the Union Minister. For security, about 60 police officers and 60 magistrates, besides 250 police personnel, have been deployed at various places in the city. Tight arrangements have been made in the city for the security of the procession.

Crowd of devotees gathered in various pagodas of the district

On the occasion of Mahashivratri, crowds of devotees have gathered since Sunday morning in Shivalayas under various blocks of Vaishali district for worship. Devotees have been reaching the temple since morning to worship Lord Bhole. During this, the whole atmosphere was filled with devotion with the slogan of Har Har Mahadev.

Shivalayas have been decorated for Mahashivratri. On the occasion of Shivratri, processions will be taken out from different places of Vaishali district. A lot of enthusiasm is being seen among the devotees regarding Mahashivratri.
