Holi 2026: Colors And Gulal Will Rain In Braj For 40 Days, Holi Celebration Will Start From Basant Panchami.

Jagran correspondent, Mathura. The colors of Holi remain bright for one or two days in the entire country, but Kanha's Braj is unique. The joy of Holi continues here for forty days. Basant Panchami is on 23rd January, from this day the joy of Holi will spread all over Braj. Holi sticks will be buried in temples and then Holi celebrations will take place.

The famous Holi of Barsana is this time on 25th February. Just a day before this, there will be Laddus Holi in Radharani temple. Holi preparations will intensify from January 23.

Holi of Braj is unique. Unique because the colors of Holi here sparkle with the unique love of Radha and Krishna. Basant Panchami is the festival when the fun of Holi begins. On Basant Panchami, Holi sticks are buried in temples. This is a sign that the joy of Holi has started.

Be it Radharani temple of Barsana or any other temple, Holi will start from this day. He himself gives darshan in the form of adorable Huriyare. Thakur Banke Bihari will shower blessings on his devotees by applying gulal on their cheeks and tying a bundle of gulal around their waist on the day of Basant Panchami. Here, gulal will be blown as a representative of Sevayat Thakur ji.

On the other hand, preparations have also intensified for the world famous Lathmar Holi in Barsana. This time Lathmar Holi will be on 25th February. A day before this, Laddus Holi will be celebrated in Radharani temple of Barsana.

Sushil Goswami, a member of the receiver committee of Radharani temple, says that Laddus Holi will be held in Nandgaon on 26th February. Preparations have been intensified in this regard. Administrative preparations regarding this will also begin soon.
