Samvad Sutra, Khanna (Mahoba). A student was murdered for honor in Mahoba, UP. The student was strangled to death. After this the body was thrown into the pond. Two people were arrested in the case.
Due to his love affair with his daughter, the father along with his real brother took the student with them, strangulated him to death and then threw the body in the pond. The police arrested the accused and presented them before the court. After this he was sent to jail. Three mobile phones were also recovered from their possession.
Harishchandra, resident of village Banni Baram Purva of police station Khanna area, had told that his cousin Ravi Prajapati went to sleep with younger brother Rahul on the night of 1 February. When Rahul woke up around 12 o'clock in the night, he saw that Ravi was missing and the main door of the house was open. Brother was neither fully dressed nor took his mobile with him. Nothing was found about him.
Ravi was studying in class 12 in Khanna's Brahmachari Inter College. His missing information was given in Khanna police station. The police registered a missing person and searched but could not find any clue. Father Vardani and mother Sudha work as laborers in Rajasthan, both of them came on information. On Friday afternoon, Ravi's body was found floating in Simra pond located some distance away from the village.
Relatives and villagers had blocked the highway alleging murder. After this, the police registered a case against Lala alias Ramsingh Yadav and Ramautar of the same village. According to the police, Ravi had a love affair with Ramautar's daughter. The daughter's marriage was to take place on February 5.
Due to this, in order not to create any hindrance, Ramautar, along with his brother, called him on some pretext, strangled him to death and threw the body in the pond. Police Station Head Arjun Singh said that the accused were arrested from Canal Track village Banni and sent to jail. Three mobile phones were also recovered from their possession.
