Jagran correspondent, Modipuram. Husband and wife were found lying unconscious in the parking lot of Meerut North Metro station in Pallavapuram. On the information of passers-by, the police station and Dial-112 reached the spot and informed. The condition of the woman was worse, mucus was coming out of her mouth. The police admitted the woman to the nursing home.

There is Meerut North Metro Station in front of Pallavapuram Phase-One and parking space nearby. Late Monday evening, people of the area informed the police after seeing the husband and wife lying unconscious on the platform near the parking lot. A huge crowd gathered.

Pallavapuram police and Dial-112 police reached the spot. For about half an hour the policemen kept calling out to both of them to get up. Meanwhile, someone spread a rumor that a dead body of a couple was found lying at the metro station. But when the police called, the husband, who was neither able to stand nor talk properly, sat down. While his wife was lying there unconscious.

After a lot of questioning, the husband told the police that he is a resident of Bihar and works as a laborer with his wife. But he could not tell exactly where he came from and where he was going. Two empty pouches of country liquor were lying nearby.

The police suspected that the couple had consumed alcohol, due to which they had become intoxicated. But, the police took the couple in an e-rickshaw to Prakash Nursing Home located on Divider Road, Pallavapuram Phase-One. Inspector Ramesh Chandra Sharma says that the husband and wife are laborers, both of whom were unconscious and have been treated.
