Jagran correspondent, Baghpat. During the attack four days ago in village Bilochpura, a pregnant woman suffered a miscarriage after she was kicked in the stomach. The victim along with her relatives reached the SP office with the fetus. While protesting, they demanded that action be taken against the accused.
Rani, a resident of Bilochpura, told that she was six months pregnant. At around 4 am on February 6, a young man from the neighbor jumped over the wall and entered the house. The accused misbehaved with another woman. When protested against this, the accused ran away.
When the father of the accused youth was reprimanded for this incident, the accused along with his relatives attacked him with sticks. During this he was kicked on the stomach. This worsened his condition. Later the accused went on giving threats.
The police registered a case against his relatives but released the accused after arresting them. On the morning of February 7, the accused again entered the house and attacked with sticks.
Rani was undergoing treatment in Meerut hospital. She had a miscarriage on Tuesday morning. It is alleged that the baby girl in the womb died due to being kicked in the stomach. SP Suraj Kumar Rai says that the matter will be investigated and action will be taken.
