Communication partner, Chamba. There was an uproar in Chamba city of Himachal on Thursday when a person under the influence of alcohol created a ruckus near the taxi stand. The situation became more serious when the said person took off his clothes and started creating ruckus among the people.
There was chaos among the pedestrians and taxi drivers. Someone immediately informed the police. As soon as the information was received, the police team reached the spot and after much effort controlled the person.
The police took him to the city post, where during interrogation he was identified as an employee working as a watchman in the Jal Shakti Department. Police challaned the person under section 114 for disturbing peace.
After this, the police team took him to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College for medical examination, where he got his medical done. The police also informed his family members about the matter. After completing the formalities the person was handed over to his family members. According to police officials, further action regarding the case will be taken as per rules.
The accused will be produced before the DSP on Friday, from where further legal process will be implemented. There was anger among the people due to such incident in the busy area of the city. Local people have demanded strict action against this type of hooliganism in public places. Police say that in future also strict action will be taken against those who disturb public peace.
