Jagran correspondent, Vikasnagar. In Dhalipur under Kotwali Vikas Nagar, a girl was brutally murdered by being attacked with a sickle and a stone. On Wednesday night, the cousin had taken the girl along to get medicine. When she did not return, when relatives and villagers searched, the girl's body was found in the bushes below the road on the banks of Shaktinahar, about half a kilometer away from the house.
Police reached the spot after getting information and recovered the bike, sickle, stone and key apart from the dead body, but the cousin was found missing. The reason for the murder has not been clear in the police investigation so far. Police are raiding in search of the accused cousin. SSP Ajay Singh, SP Dehat Pankaj Gairola inspected the incident site and the field unit and forensic team collected evidence in the murder.
Murder case registered against the accused
On behalf of the father of the deceased, a complaint has been filed in the police station and a case of murder has been registered against the accused. On Wednesday evening, at around 6.30 pm, cousin Surendra alias Madu had left for Herbertpur from Boxa Basti Dhalipur on a bike to get medicine for his 18-year-old sister Manisha alias Jyoti. But when he did not come home till late at night, his relatives and villagers searched for him.
Manisha's body was found lying in the bushes below Shaktinahar Road, about half a kilometer from her house. On receiving the information, CO Bhaskar Lal Shah, SSI Shishupal Rana, outpost in-charge Sanoj Kumar etc. reached the spot along with the police force. The dead body of the girl was lying in a bush on the roadside on the way to Boxa Basti Dhalipur. Who had many injuries on his head. The mouth was crushed with a stone, the fingers of the hand were also cut.
The body was identified as Manisha, daughter of Anand Singh, resident of Boxa Basti, Dhalipur. The field unit and forensic team were called to the spot in the night itself and necessary evidence was collected by doing photography and videography of the incident spot. In the incident, the police took immediate action and recovered Surendra's motorcycle, sickle used in the incident etc. from near the incident spot. Efforts are being made to arrest the absconding accused by forming different teams in the incident.
Senior Superintendent of Police Dehradun Ajay Singh met the relatives of the deceased girl and consoled them and assured them of strictest action against the accused involved in the incident. Necessary instructions were given to the officers to arrest the accused as soon as possible.
The body was covered in blood
Vikasnagar: In the complaint given in Kotwali, deceased Manisha's father Anand, son of late. Khem Singh, resident of Dhalipur, said that on Wednesday at 6.30 pm, his daughter Manisha alias Jyoti was taken out of the house by her brother's son Surendra alias Madu on a motorcycle on the pretext of taking medicines. After a long time, they searched here and there and found no one. After which information was given through phone at the post near Harbatpur.
While searching, they came to know that Manisha's body was found lying in a bad condition near Kulave on the Shaktinahar side road and she was soaked in blood. Surendra alias Madu is absconding from the spot. Said in the complaint that Surendra son of Chhota had murdered his daughter and absconded after murder.
According to SSI, a case of murder has been registered against Surendra.
