Jagran correspondent, Bhiwani. A big and pleasant news has come out for the disabled people of Haryana. Due to the special efforts and quick cognizance of Ankush Miglani, Vice President of Indian Red Cross Society Haryana State Branch, Chandigarh, the disabled people of the state will no longer have to stand in long queues at government ration depots.

Haryana Government, while issuing an important notification, has issued instructions to provide immediate ration to the disabled people in the entire state without any separate queue or waiting. Bhiwani Red Cross Secretary Pradeep Kumar said that the government has immediately approved this humanitarian request and issued orders to all the district food and supply controllers. Now the disabled will not have to wait in the normal queue during distribution of ration under the public distribution system.

500 new depots will be established

To overcome the problem of ration distribution in Haryana, it has been decided to open four thousand new ration depots. At present 9247 ration depots are operating in the state. Through these depots, ration is being supplied to 40 lakh 69 thousand families, in which a total of more than one crore 59 lakh family members are registered. Yellow (BPL), Pink (AAY) and Khaki (General) category ration cards are issued in the state. After the opening of new ration depot, a new depot will be established in every village for 500 ration cards.
