Communication Associate, Bidhnu (Kanpur). A heart-wrenching incident came to light in Tulsiapur village of Sen Paschim Para police station area on Monday morning. A retired 55-year-old army man shot dead his wife Sunita, 40, and 16-year-old son Deep inside their house. After this, he locked the main gate of the house from outside and committed suicide by going about three kilometers away by getting hit by a train.
The incident spread sensation in the area. After the incident, the youth left the house and jumped in front of the train after reaching Bhau railway track near Kathongar village. The young man died on the spot after being hit by the train. On receiving information about the dead body of a young man found on the railway track, the police reached his house for his identification. On reaching there, the dead bodies of the wife and daughter were found inside the house, revealing a double murder followed by suicide.
As soon as information about the incident was received, the police forensic team reached the spot and started investigation. The police have taken the bodies into custody and sent them for post-mortem. Evidence has also been collected from the spot by the forensic team. Police station in-charge Pradeep Kumar Singh said that the entire matter is being investigated thoroughly. The reasons for the murder are not yet clearly known. The police are investigating keeping in mind other aspects including family dispute.
