The matter came into limelight on Sunday when the police surrounded the BJP leader's Radhanagar residence early in the morning and arrested his village head wife Pushpa Dwivedi. The joint police team of Asothar and Radhanagar took this action when his name came to light during the investigation in the case of scam of Rs 55 lakh in MNREGA wages.
The relatives started protesting that...when there is no case then why the arrest. Along with this, the accused Rural Engineering Department Junior Engineer Narendra Gupta (current sector officer) was arrested and sent to jail. It was discussed that the Panchayat Assistant of the Gram Sabha (daughter-in-law of the BJP leader's family) has been taken into custody by the police from her home. In Sarkandi Gram Panchayat, the ongoing political tension between the village head and the Kotedar is taking shape. On September 2, a case was registered on behalf of BDO Rahul Mishra against engineering department's junior engineer Narendra Gupta, junior engineer Ajay Pratap Singh, then village development officer block Asother Dharmakirti, village development officer Jitendranath, first signatory accountant Suryaprakash, MNREGA additional program officer Nitin Srivastava, MNREGA computer operator Ramprakash, Panchayat assistant Poonam Devi, computer operator Prakash Singh and Shivam on September 2 regarding corruption in the Gram Panchayat.

After this, the section of attempt to murder was increased and six accused from BJP leader Pradhan Pati Santosh Dwivedi's side were arrested and sent to jail, but no one from the other side could be arrested.

Junior Engineer Narendra Gupta, resident of Lakhnipur village of Soraon police station of Prayagraj district, was named. Both of them have been arrested and sent to jail. There is no provision for giving notice or information to the accused if his name comes to light in the investigation. The process of cancellation will be started by examining the arms licenses of the attackers in front of the investigating officers. At present, efforts are being made to nab the named accused.
