A father who went to his son's fight was shot dead.

Jagran correspondent, East Delhi. In Nand Nagri area, a father who had gone to save his minor son during a fight was shot in the chest in broad daylight and killed. The 15 year old minor had called his parents to the spot. It is alleged that on seeing the parents the accused got enraged and shot the father. After committing the crime the accused fled from the spot.
It is suspected that the perpetrator of the crime is a minor. The deceased has been identified as Umardin. Nand Nagri police station has registered a case under several sections including murder. Police claim that the accused have been identified. Raids are being conducted in search of them.
Umardin lived with his family in Nand Nagari area. There are many members in his family including wife Rabia, son Tehzeem. Tehzeem studies in class 10th and his board exams are going on. He studies tuition in Nand Nagari B-2 block.
The family told that he was returning home on foot after studying tuition at 5 pm on Tuesday evening. When he reached near the school located in A Block, he saw some youths beating his two friends. When he started saving his friends, the accused surrounded him and started beating him.
The victim informed his father about the matter through call from the spot. After some time his parents reached the spot. He was trying to intervene in the fight when the accused got angry. It is alleged that the accused first fired three rounds in the air and then fired one bullet into the chest of the minor's father.
After the incident the accused fled from the spot. Umardin was admitted to GTB Hospital in injured condition. Where the doctors declared him dead.
The crime was committed on the wedding anniversary
The family of the deceased told that on February 17, 17 years of marriage of Umardin had been completed. There was an atmosphere of happiness in the house. Umardeen's four daughters were busy preparing for the anniversary program at night. Umardin was a truck driver by profession and was on leave on his anniversary.
