Jagran correspondent, Banda. Indian railways news: Cold is causing delay in trains. Due to dense fog on Thursday, trains reached stations late, although the fog remained less on Friday. If we talk about the condition of trains in last two days, rail traffic was affected due to fog. It was difficult to wait for two to three hours in winter. Passengers were seen shivering in the cold while waiting for the late trains at the station.

More than two dozen trains travel daily from the railway station located in the city. Due to fog since last two days, passengers are facing problems due to late arrival of trains. Gwalior-Prayagraj Express, going from Gwalior to Prayagraj, reached the station with a delay of about two hours. The Ahmedabad-Barauni Express going from Asansol to Ahmedabad reached the railway station about one and a half hour late as per its scheduled time.

MEMU train going from Kanpur to Manikpur also reached the station about one and a half hour late than its scheduled time. Rewa Express was delayed by one and a half hours and the train going from Lokmanya Tilak Terminal to Subedarganj was delayed by three hours from its scheduled time. Sampark Kranti Express going from Hazrat Nizamuddin towards Manikpur arrived late by about two hours. Apart from this, Barauni Express was delayed for two and a half hours.

Sunshine along with fog in the morning gave relief, minimum temperature increased by two degrees

After severe cold in the district on Thursday, Friday morning started with fog but by 10.30 there was relief as Sun God was seen. The temperature increased due to sunlight. The maximum reached 20 and minimum eight degrees Celsius, whereas on Thursday the maximum was 14 and minimum six degrees Celsius. That means there was a relief as the temperature increased by six degrees in maximum and two degrees in minimum.

The Meteorological Department has predicted that the cold will increase in the coming days. Meteorologist Dinesh Saha said that the maximum temperature recorded on Friday was 20 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature was eight degrees Celsius. Humidity was recorded at 70 percent in the morning. There is a possibility of cold with dense fog in the coming days. The air quality index of the district also remained around 321 cubic meters.
