Digital Desk, New Delhi. In the beginning of December, flights of the country's largest airline company IndiGo were canceled one after another, due to which there was an outcry among the passengers. Such a big crisis had rarely been seen before in the aviation sector.
Lakhs of passengers had to face major problems due to cancellation of a large number of flights. During this time, passengers kept waiting at the airport for several hours. Piles of suitcases were seen at many airports. Now the situation is gradually improving. Meanwhile, Indigo has made a special announcement for the passengers affected on 3/4/5 December.
A compensation has been announced by Indigo. Indigo has given this information on social media platform X. Indigo informed that some of our customers traveling on 3/4/5 December were stranded at some airports for several hours and many of them were badly affected due to the crowd. We will give travel vouchers worth ₹10,000 to such badly affected customers. These travel vouchers can be used for any IndiGo travel in the next 12 months.
The statement said this compensation is in addition to commitments under existing government guidelines; According to which, IndiGo will give compensation of ₹ 5,000 to ₹ 10,000 depending on the block time of the flight to those passengers whose flights were canceled within 24 hours of the departure time.
