Samvad Sutra Jagran, Laksar: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) took the accused shooters jailed in the infamous Vinay Tyagi murder case on remand and interrogated them for a long time on Friday. After interrogation, the police took both the accused to the crime scene and their hiding place and repeated the entire crime scene. According to police sources, many important information has come into the hands of the police during this period.
Vinay Tyagi, the infamous Vinay Tyagi from Roorkee Jail, was shot dead on the railway overbridge in Laksar on December 24 while being taken for court appearance. Vinay Tyagi was admitted to AIIMS Rishikesh after being shot three times. He died on the third day after the incident. In this case, the police had arrested both the attackers Sunny alias Shera and Ajay resident of Kashipur and sent them to jail.
The SIT investigating the case had filed an application in the court for remand of both the accused. Eight hours' remand was granted by the court. On which on Friday, the police team under the leadership of SIT in-charge CO City Haridwar Shishupal Singh Negi took both the accused on remand and interrogated them.
During interrogation, the accused gave many important information to the police regarding the Vinay Tyagi murder case. After this, the police took both the accused to the spot of the incident and their escape and hiding places and repeated the crime scene. The team also searched for evidence during this period.
After interrogation, after completion of the remand period, both the accused were produced in the court and sent to jail again. SIT in-charge CO Sadar Haridwar Shishupal Singh Negi said that the accused, who were in jail for the murder of Vinay Tyagi, have been taken on remand and interrogated. Many important information has been received regarding the murder.
SIT will also interrogate Vinay's relatives
During the investigation of Vinay Tyagi murder case, SIT is also preparing to interrogate Vinay Tyagi's relatives. The relatives had made many serious allegations against the police regarding the murder of Vinay Tyagi.
On behalf of the relatives, the police will interrogate his relatives to gather information. Vinay's wife, former block chief Nishi Tyagi, is still absconding. Many cases are registered against him also.
