Jagran correspondent, Sahibabad. The police have registered a case against five people for extorting lakhs of rupees from the inspector by honey-trapping them and forcibly performing a court marriage in Shalimar Garden area a year ago. The police have arrested the main accused woman.
The woman, resident of Aligarh district, told in the case registered that she is posted as Inspector in Uttar Pradesh Police. It is alleged that in June 2024, a woman resident of Dayanand Park Shalimar Garden had honey-trapped her husband and transferred Rs 3 lakh in cash and Rs 20 thousand to his account.
On June 18, 2024, the woman, along with her associates Akash Tyagi and Pradeep Tyagi, had called her real sister-in-law to the court premises and demanded Rs 15 lakh. Later the matter was settled at Rs 10 lakh. It is alleged that the woman had also threatened to implicate her husband. The recording of the conversation with him has also been given to the police.
The woman also put pressure on him for marriage. It is alleged that the woman has forcibly registered her marriage with her husband in the court. Even though she knew that her husband was married. On the orders of DCP, a case has been registered against the woman in Shalimar Garden. ACP Shalimar Garden Atul Kumar Singh said that the accused woman has been arrested.
