State Bureau, Lucknow. The government has given six more months to the ten districts lagging behind in digitalization of deeds (documents) registered in sub-registrar offices to complete the work. Along with extension in the time limit, instructions have also been given that this work has to be completed within the previously determined amount only.

Principal Secretary of Stamp and Registration Department, Amit Singh, has written a letter to the Inspector General of Registration regarding extending the deadline for ten districts. It is written that Etah, Varanasi, Moradabad, Mainpuri, Lucknow, Aligarh, Hathras, Agra, Saharanpur and Prayagraj have not completed the digitalization project within the previously extended time limit of one year.

After due consideration, the time limit is extended by six months for the sub-registration offices of these districts to complete the work of digitalization of the remaining registered documents.

It has been said that it should be kept in mind that there should be no negligence in digitalization. If the work is not completed within the stipulated six months, responsibility will be fixed at every level.
