Jagran correspondent, Laksar. In Mundakheda Khurd village, the village head's brother died under suspicious circumstances after being shot. It was told that he had committed suicide by shooting himself with a pistol. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot, took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem.
According to the police, Nakul, brother of village head Sahdev Singh of Mundakheda Khurd village of Laksar Kotwali area, had divorced his wife about two years ago. Since then he was in a state of depression. It has been told that he was living here and there for quite some time and used to come to the house occasionally.
When he had come to the village on Wednesday, around 5 am on Thursday, Nakul shot himself with a pistol in his room. Due to which he died on the spot. Hearing the sound of gunshot, the relatives ran towards the room. There was chaos in the house after seeing Nakul lying in a bloody condition in the room. On receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot and after getting information about the matter, inspected the spot. After filling the Panchnama, the body has been sent to Civil Hospital Roorkee for post-mortem.
Senior Sub Inspector Lokpal Parmar said that the case seems to be a suicide. The deceased is said to be in a state of depression after his divorce with his wife. The matter is being investigated seriously.
