Allahabad High Court has given an important order regarding the attached house of Afzal Ansari's wife.

Allahabad High Court has directed DM Ghazipur to pass an order with reasons in five weeks in the matter of attachment of the house of Farhat Ansari, wife of MP Afzal Ansari. This order has been issued regarding the attached house under the Gangster Act. In the year 2022, the Lucknow house of Afzal Ansari's wife was attached. The order to open it was given by the High Court, despite the order, Farhat had challenged in the High Court that it was not opened.
High Court disposed of the petition
On Wednesday, the case was heard by a single bench of Justice CD Singh. The court disposed of the petition by directing DM Ghazipur to pass appropriate orders. Advocate Upendra Upadhyay presented Farhat's side. The Gangster Court of Ghazipur had ordered on April 7, 2025 that the residential house in Lucknow is not the property acquired from the gangster.
Court had given order to DM of Ghazipur
The court had ordered DM Ghazipur to get the house opened within 30 days. Despite this order, DM Ghazipur did not get the house opened. The DM of Ghazipur had attached this Lucknow house on 23 October 2022 under Section 14 (1) of the Uttar Pradesh Gangster Act.
