Jagran correspondent, Muzaffarpur. Muzaffarpur News: Relationships are considered to be the greatest strength of a human being, but when those relationships leave one, then both life and death become very painful. One such heart-wrenching case has come to light in Muzaffarpur, where the bodies of a father and son who had come from West Bengal were lying in the post-mortem house for six days, waiting for their loved ones, but no one came to collect them.
Didn't get support even after death
The bodies of tiles businessman Subhankar Sau (37) and his 15-year-old son Devanshu Sau were found hanging in a room of Goswami Rest House in front of Patna Bus Stand in Bairia of Ahiyapur police station area on the evening of January 30. Both of them came to Muzaffarpur and ended their lives, but the irony was that even after death they did not get the support of their loved ones.
Relatives are not responding
When the police tried to contact his family members on the basis of the Aadhar card and mobile numbers found in his pocket, no one, including the grandfather, wife and brother, bothered to pick up the phone. Despite continuous efforts, no response was received even after six days.
Here, a foul smell has started coming from both the bodies kept in the post-mortem house of SKMCH. FMT Department Head Dr. Nitish Kumar has instructed the police to conduct the funeral soon. Ahiyapur police station incharge Rohan Kumar said that the cremation of both the bodies will be done after taking permission from senior officials.
He told that as per the rules, if no family member comes to collect the dead body within 72 hours, then the last rites process is completed by the police. Despite this, till now no initiative has been taken from the family.
painful silence and unanswered questions
According to the information, Subhankar Sau often used to come to Muzaffarpur in connection with Tagada and every time he used to stay in Goswami Rest House. This time also the same place remained, but this place became the witness of his last breaths.
The police are now trying to find out what circumstances forced a father to take this dreadful step with his innocent son. Who were the people with whom he had money transactions, what pressures he was struggling with. Call detail records are being scrutinized to investigate all these aspects.
raises questions on relationships
This incident is not just a story of death, but also raises questions on those relationships which promise to remain together in difficult times. The one who gave birth to a son, who supported the father throughout his life, the same people did not stand together even at the time of his last farewell.
These dead bodies waiting for their loved ones are forcing the society to think whether we are really able to fulfill the responsibility of our relationships?
