Married woman sacrificed for dowry in Godda
Jagran correspondent, Godda. The dead body of a married woman was found hanging in Banbir Tola of Jamni Paharpur village of Mufassil police station area. The name of the married woman is Ful Kumari Devi. Her husband is Om Prakash Mahato. The dead body of the married woman was found in her in-laws' house late on Tuesday night.
On Wednesday morning, the police of Mufassil police station recovered the body and brought it to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The relatives of the deceased have termed it as dowry murder. Relatives allege that Phool Kumari's husband Omprakash strangled her to death and hanged her body.
Married 6 years ago
According to the information, the bride got married about six years ago. The married woman's father Khagendra Mahato told that after everything was fine for a few days, the married woman suddenly started harassing her husband and other in-laws for dowry.
The father also told that his son-in-law was drunk every day and used to beat his daughter. Due to which she was being tortured mentally and physically.
Committed life by hanging
Said that on the morning of February 4, information was received that his daughter had committed suicide by hanging herself. After this all the relatives reached Jamni Paharpur from Shahrpura and found the daughter dead. In the application given in the Mufassil police station, the father said that his daughter was strangled to death by her son-in-law Omprakash Mahato for dowry.
An application has been taken by the police in this matter. The accused son-in-law has not been caught yet. Police have registered a case of dowry death in this matter.
