Jagran correspondent, Bulandshahr. The accused of dowry murder escaped from the custody of Narsena police by jumping over the wall of the police station. The police are raiding possible places in search of the accused, but have not been successful so far.
Rakesh Kumar, son of Mohan Lal Singh, resident of Vidhipur village of Jahangirabad Kotwali area, had lodged a report at Narsena police station on Monday on charges of dowry death. In which it was told that two years ago he had married his daughter Sarvesh with Arun Kumar, son of Nanha Singh, resident of Narendrapur village of Narsena police station area. It is alleged that after marriage, people from Sarvesh's in-laws started beating him and on February 2, they murdered him by hanging him with a cloth from a pole in the ceiling of the house.
The police started investigating the case by filing a report against husband Arun, father-in-law Nanha, brother-in-law Bhupendra, mother-in-law Dharamvati and brother-in-law Pintu on charges of dowry death. Villagers told that on Tuesday night the police had arrested Bhupendra by raiding his house and since then he was in police custody at the police station, who ran away by jumping the wall of the police station on the pretext of defecating at around 6 am on Thursday.
After that the police raided the house of the absconding accused and searched for him. There was panic in the police station on the news of the escape of the accused of dowry murder from police custody. The police station chief immediately informed the matter to higher officials along with CO Sayana. Police is raiding the possible places of the accused, but till now the result has been zero.
SSP Dinesh Kumar Singh said that along with the police station, SWAT police team has also been deployed in search of the accused. The police team is busy searching for the absconding accused, who will soon be arrested and the case will be exposed.
Class 12 student molested, report filed under SCST Act
A resident of a village in the police station Kotwali Dehat area told that she is his daughter, a class 12 student. It is alleged that while coming and going to school, a young man resident of Vahlimpura village molests and talks obscenely with the student and if the student protests, he threatens to kill her. Due to this the student stopped going to school. On Tuesday, the said youth reached her village and seeing the student alone, started molesting her. When the student raised an alarm, seeing the villagers coming towards him, the accused ran away, threatening to kill him using caste-related words. Inspector Neeraj Kumar Malik, in-charge of Kotwali Dehat, said that a report has been registered against the accused Ajay on the complaint of the father of the victim student. Police is investigating the matter.
