Jagran correspondent, Jamshedpur. After the New Year celebrations in the iron city Jamshedpur, now the cold has once again intensified its attitude. According to the latest data of the Meteorological Department, due to the effect of Western Disturbance and north-westerly icy winds, there will be a huge drop in the temperature of the city in the next five days. The minimum temperature of the city was 12 degrees Celsius on January 2, but there is a strong possibility of it falling to eight degrees Celsius by January 6.
There was moderate fog in many areas of the city on Friday morning. According to weather data, visibility dropped to 700 meters in the morning, due to which drivers had to drive with headlights on.
However, the Meteorological Department has not yet issued any yellow alert for East Singhbhum district, but shallow to moderate fog has been predicted in the morning and evening.
According to meteorologists, westerly winds are now dominating in Jamshedpur. The sky will be clear during the day, but due to moisture and coolness in the winds, the heat of the sun will be felt less. The maximum temperature on Friday was between 26-27 degrees, which is expected to fall to 23-24 degrees in the next four days.
If seen at the state level, Gumla has been the coldest with 6.4 degrees Celsius. In comparison, Jamshedpur is a little warmer now, but in the coming days a cold wave like situation may be felt here too.
