A cement laden goods train had met with an accident on the bridge of Telwa Bazar Halt on Saturday night at 11:10 pm on Howrah-Patna-New Delhi main line under Asansol Railway Division of Eastern Railway. Due to this the railway service has become badly disrupted. Many coaches of the goods train have fallen into the river below the bridge and many have fallen on the tracks above the bridge. Due to this, the track in both directions is blocked since night. Operations have not started even after 30 hours.
Even 30 hours after the goods train accident between Lahaban-Simultala station, track repair is going on. It will take time for operations to return to normal. In view of this, Howrah-Patna main line trains will run on diverted routes on Monday also.
13331 Dhanbad-Patna Intercity will go to Patna via Gomo, Koderma and Gaya instead of Jasidih-Jhajha. In return, 13332 Patna-Dhanbad Intercity also went, will come to Dhanbad via Koderma and Gamo.
12303 Howrah-New Delhi Purva Express, 12273 Howrah-New Delhi Duronto Express will run via Dhanbad. 22348 Patna-Howrah Vande Bharat Express, 12304 New Delhi-Howrah Purva Express will run via Gaya and Dhanbad.
18184 Buxar-Tata Express will run via Bakhtiyarpur, Rajgir, Tilaiya, Koderma, Gomo and Dhanbad. 22500 Varanasi-Deoghar Vande Bharat will run via Gaya, Koderma, Madhapur and Jasidih.
Charlapalli-Darbhanga Express via Banka, Bhagalpur
The route of the train going from Charlapalli to Darbhanga has also been changed. It will reach Dhanbad via its scheduled route. From Dhanbad to Jasidih it will run on regular route only. From Jasidih, Darbhanga will go via Banka, Bhagalpur and Kiul.
Saraswati Chandra, CPRO of East Central Railway, said that 08 coaches of the goods train derailed between Lahaban-Simultala station of Asansol division of Eastern Railway. Due to this, rail operations have been disrupted on both the up and down lines of this railway section. ARTs from Asansol, Madhupur and Jhajha have reached the incident site and work is going on war footing to restore operations.
Gomo, Koderma and Gaya Hekar Dhanbad-Patna Intercity
Due to the incident, the route of 13331 Dhanbad Patna Intercity Express was changed. The train running from Dhanbad via Jasidih, Jhajha was diverted via Gomo, Koderma and Gaya. 13332 Patna Dhanbad Intercity coming from Patna to Dhanbad was also announced to run till Dhanbad via Koderma and Gomo.
