Theft from Thave Durga temple is negligence of administration: RJD District President

RJD District President Dilip Singh reached the temple on Friday and took information from head priest Sanjay Pandey regarding the incident of theft in Thave Durga temple.

After getting the information, he said that despite there being a TOP police station in the temple premises and the police station being just 200 yards away from the temple, the theft by breaking the lock is a failure of the police.

RJD District President said that Thawe Durga Temple is the first tourist place in the district and devotees come here from far and wide to have darshan of the Mother Goddess. If the security of the temple itself is not solid, then the question arises what will be the security situation of the common people.

Dilip Singh demanded from the administration that the accused involved in the theft should be arrested soon and the stolen jewelery should be recovered and strict punishment should be given.

He also said that this incident has raised serious questions on the functioning of the local administration and prompt action should be mandatory in such cases.
