Thousands of polling workers could not cast their votes in Jharkhand civic elections.

Their voting is done through postal ballot even before the voting, but this did not happen in the civic elections. At the same time, due to duty imposed in another constituency, they will not be able to vote there.
BJP has raised questions on this. BJP state president Aditya Sahu said that thousands of polling workers have been deprived of their voting rights due to this.
According to him, he had also called the Commission regarding this but nothing came of it.
In the Jharkhand Municipal Elections 2026, the State Election Commission has not made any arrangement for postal ballot for the polling personnel.
